Vince Malta
Vince Malta, a REALTOR® in San Francisco, Calif., is the 2015 Law and Policy Liaison and 2016 Member Involvment Liaison at the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. NAR, The Voice for Real Estate®, is America’s largest trade association, representing over 1 million REALTORS® involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
Malta is a third-generation REALTOR® and the CEO of Malta & Co., Inc., a Real Estate Brokerage Firm in San Francisco. He is a graduate of the University of San Francisco and the University of San Francisco School of Law. Malta has been in the real estate business for over 39 years and has served the industry in countless roles. He and his wife Julie have 3 sons, who are attending colleges at 3 corners of of the Country: UC Santa Barbara, University of Alabama and Yale University.
Since 1988, Malta has been deeply involved with the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.). In 2002 he became an Honorary State Director for Life, and the 2006 C.A.R. President. He was awarded REALTOR® of the year for the State of California in 2007.
On the national level, Malta has testified before Congress multiple times on behalf of NAR on issues such as the impact of increasing conforming loan limits, insurance reform, patent troll reform, and housing policy. He has served on the NAR Board of Directors from 2002 to present, and was NAR’s Vice-President in 2010 and 2011.
